Went to Rotto on Thursday! Probably a highlight for the year so far :)
Little Armstrong Beach was my favourite spot of the day. It felt like we'd discovered a secret cove...after almost passing out from cycling, the crystal clear, cold water felt beautiful. I think I want to get married there :) lol
Even though I spent a lot of money that day it was just so refreshing to take a day away from Perth to go snorkelling, cycling, beaching, and just admiring nature and how beautiful it really is.
It was lots of fun and very relaxing...When i left i felt like i had just gone for a massage and spa treatment! The weather was perfect...hot but not too hot...and the beaches were clear and refreshing. We hired bikes (and some of us snorkel gear) and we attempted to cycle around the island to fulfill one of my friend's points on her "bucket list".
In the end though, we ended up cutting through to get to Little Parakeet Bay but we went down a lot of wrong roads (which meant the short enjoyment of freewheeling down hills was cut short with the idea of having to ride back up them...) so i rekon that all those detours added up to the same distance as cycling around the entire island...or so i like to think!
We ended up skipping Parakeet Bay due to time restrictions as we had to return the hired bikes by 4:30 i think it was...and we went to the pub so that my friend's friends from Seattle could taste Lemon Lime Bitters for the first time. They were hooked :)

1 Litre of Tears is soooo sad :'(
I'm not usually into Asian dramas...in fact I find them very annoying! But this series was eye opening, the acting was really good, and it's based on the life of an actual person.
It is so painful to imagine being so young and gifted, and then suddenly and rapidly losing your motor skills so that you can't walk and use your hands, and then eventually will be unable to swallow, talk, or move at all. To know and come to terms with the fact that you only have a few more years to live.
I definitely appreciate my mobility and my life a whole lot more after watching this!

Woowww it has been busybusybusy these past few weeks!!
And it's been really great..I'm enjoying these holidays a lot despite being stuck in Perth for the past 2 months, and I've been out of the house everyday but today!

3. Doing my first event as a Compassion Advocate at the Influencers Conference held at Burswood. Made friends with some other advocates helping at the sponsorship table with me, and also some of the new sponsors! By the end of the conference, 65 children were sponsored! Apparently this is up from last year and is a great result amidst floods and drama in our own nation! In addition to children sponsored we also got:
- 2 Advocates signed up
- $175 in donations
- 5 letters written to children on the day of sponsorship (plus a whole bunch of supporters took paper and were encouraged to WRITE to their children)
- Sales of 10 Entertainment Books which a portion of the sales go to the ‘unsponsored children’s fund’
4. Nights out with my girls. ♥ (Don't care what people say or think...I need and love those nights the best :))
5. Brunch with the best friend.
7. AUSTRALIA DAY!! City Beach. Awesome fun!
8. Freo with Chanelle...Then Stef's 21st Birthday at her house :)
9. Grace & Jeremys 30th Birthday at Wolfe Lane Bar! Loved the venue and was glad to see 2 of my favourite people enjoying themselves!!
10. High tea with my girls at Duxton Hotel. Expensive but delicious and good conversation :)
And to top it all off, Cyclone Bianca never reached Perth. The only thing Perth suffered was the humidity, the heat, some rain, and some strong winds!! And Port Hedland wasn't affected despite the yellow warnings so my dad's safe too :)

The top 10 highlights since I last blogged would be:
1. Going to the beach nearly every day :)
2. Breakfast at Toast in East Perth with my nursing girls who I can talk to about nearly anything and everything! Thank God I was put in the same hospital for prac as them...

Life has improved just a smidgen.
I've realised it's since my sister got back from Singapore & Phuket.
As much as I want to try and believe that she's the usual terrible, annoying older sister (and I'm not saying she isn't sometimes...) I have come to realise that I really need her to be around and i crumbled after 2wks of her being away :(
And even though [] is still being a ASDFGHJKL!!...[] hasn't managed to ruin this week and make me depressed yet...
So yesterday I went to Cott with my sister and May. We were there for 4hours and it was awesome fun until I dived under a wave and realised I was surrounded by jellies/stingers (so THAT was why noone else was swimming around me....) I got a sting to the face, the arm, and the ankle :( But it was an awesome day at the beach as usual and I didn't get too much darker.
Then today I hit Scarbs with Tanya & Yennii. I love hanging out with them - they're so fun, silences aren't awkward, and we have a lot in common. The 35degree heat was a killer but the water was beautiful, clear and there were a lot of big waves (good for surfing). It was a great day (until me and Yennii got stung) but it was a relief to get out of the sun so we went back to Tanyas and sat under her fan and talked about more random crap.
Converstion is the art of speaking without thinking - Kowa --> we had a lot of this happen today...

worst week ever.
fklslfasdfhjkl!! :@
wish i could stop finding out and realising stuff that i'd been trying to ignore. wish i didn't give a damn about stupid people. wish you would leave me alone. wish i had my bleepin license.
i don't mind councelling ppl or hearing about their problems. in fact i love when people come to talk to me about anything or ask me for advice. as long as it's not you.
met someone recently. thankGOD for another great & special addition to the small list of friends i can depend on.
